Ayrshire has loads of drum and flute marching bands. A lot of these - if not all - are connected with the Orange Order, a Loyalist organization that is strong in South West Scotland and the Protestant areas of Northern Ireland. One of the best marching bands in the shire is the Irvine New Town Defenders, shown here at a 2014 parade down Irvine High Street.
