This beautiful 18th-century Georgian house set in spacious grounds (125 acres) along the banks of the River Doon (of Tam O'Shanter fame) appears to have a new anonymous owner. This follows the decision of its previous owner, AirAsia founder Tan Sri Tony Fernandes, to sell it after 7 years of ownership in 2020 for a price of £2.5 million or more.
The property, which is next to the town of Dalrymple, is no longer listed on property websites. This indicates that Fernandes successfully managed to offload it. However, no recent purchase appears on the Registrars of Scotland site.

Little is known of the early history of the site. No records have been traced of a designed landscape prior to the building of Skeldon House in the late 18th century. In 1805, the property appears to have been in the possession of a Mr Fullarton (according to The New Statistical Account of Scotland, 1845). Not much else to add at present.
